Tauá

The Tauá plant plays an important role in the Brazilian electricity system by being the first solar farm in Latin America to generate energy commercially. The farm is situated in the city of Tauá (CE) and boasts 4,680 photovoltaic panels which generate one megawatt of electrical energy.
