Itaqui

The Itaqui power plant was Eneva’s first venture in the state of Maranhão. Strategically located just 5km from the port of Itaqui, the plant uses the logistics of the port to receive the coal used as fuel to produce energy. The plant has a Capacity Utilization of 360 MW, which represents almost 40% of the total consumption of the state of Maranhão. The energy generated is sent via the northern subsystem of the Interconnected National Grid (SIN).
