The Pecém II plant is located in the Pecém Thermoelectric Complex, in the town of São Gonçalo do Amarante (CE). Running on coal, the plant makes use of the port of Pecém to receive raw materials used in the generation of electrical energy.The plant has a Capacity Utilization of 365 megawatts and contributes a great deal to supply of energy in the state. It is responsible for a major portion of the supply in the Northeast subsystem of the Interconnected National Grid (SIN).
